Description: Develops and maintains production schedule for assigned work centers and coordinates with manufacturing, warehouse, and engineering personnel to achieve inventory and customer service objectives. Analyzes and communicates current and future requirements to ensure production schedule is aligned with customer demand. Anticipates shortages, develops action plans, and coordinates with suppliers to resolve issues and minimize service disruptions.
Duties: Develop production schedule by incorporating MRP net requirements and manufacturing capacity information. Release and manage purchase orders and manufacturing work orders to support the inventory plan for assigned suppliers/product lines. Monitor requirements and expedite or de-expedite orders based on changes to customer demand.

Review and communicate priorities to manufacturing supervisors and suppliers to ensure production schedule is followed and service objectives are met. Maintain open communication with suppliers regarding annual forecasts and capacity constraints.

Represent planning on cross functional new product development teams. Work closely with engineering, marketing, and sourcing personnel to bring new products to market on time with the appropriate inventory levels.

Advise customer service, demand planning, and operations leadership on product shortages and communicate recovery dates. Provide demand planning with lead time information for unforecasted product quotes as necessary.

Monitor and maintain all system data for planning and inventory management purposes. Establish and routinely review material planning parameters to ensure they are up to date with current information and support management strategies for given product lines.

Track all in-transit inventory and provide priorities as necessary to warehouse receiving team. Monitor finished goods inventory levels and recommend the optimal transportation method required to balance customer service and freight costs.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in an analytical field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in key aspects of production planning, master scheduling, purchasing, and/or inventory control.
- Previous experience with JD Edwards ERP/MRP system a plus.
- Competencies: Knowledge of inventory management and production scheduling principles.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills are critical. APICS CPIM or CSCP preferred.
